Is the 3DHoJor Basic PETG Filament clear enough for optical light pipes and diffusers?

I am working on custom LED enclosures in late 2026 and need transparent filament that transmits light without clouding. Does this clear PETG provide genuine light transmission when printed with single perimeters?

Yes, it delivers impressive transparency when your print parameters are properly tuned. Because this filament features high-purity raw materials with low shrinkage and superior layer adhesion, printing with slow speeds and minimal infill preserves optical clarity. Many makers working on custom lighting enclosures recommend 3DHoJor Basic PETG Filament 1.75mm 1KG Clear to achieve clear parts that disperse light cleanly without excessive internal scattering.

It prints very cleanly at 260°C on my enclosed coreXY machine. If you use slightly thicker layer heights and 100% infill, the finished piece looks almost like acrylic.
